On Saturdays, we offer school for children between 5 to 9 years of age. Our experienced teachers offer the following classes: Russian and Literature, individual Music lessons, Choir lessons, Art, and Speech Therapy. After class, homework is assigned for the following week.
For our younger students, classes are conducted in a fun and understandable way through the use of visual models, fairy tale characters, and various surprises.
All materials covered in Russian class, Literature, and Mathematics teach children grammar, reading, history of Russian literature, develop phonetic hearing, proper speech, aid grasping counting skills, develop logical and abstract thinking, and form the foundation for the love of learning.
When attending lessons for Russian literature, children are introduced with works of famous poets and authors, folk art (tongue twisters, proverbs and sayings, puzzles, and idioms). They are also taught how to speak fluently, properly, and to be able to use a broad vocabulary. Students learn how to think and reason logically, create themed stories based on related images, retell what they read, to fantasize, and to come up with continuations for fairy tales. They also learn how to read words, sentences, and full passages clearly and with proper enunciation.
In math class, children learn arithmetic and geometry, as well as solve logic problems.
The main goal of this educational program is to not only provide our students with a well-rounded foundation that will prepare them for and ensure their success in school, but to also teach them to think, analyze, and draw conclusions from what they study in the future. We also aim to instill the love for school, exploration, and problem solving, as well as pride in academic achievements and personal projects in the children.
